Halloween to do Activity Check List 2015

Before we begin our Halloween to do activity check-list, let us first dig a little bit of history as to where it really came from. Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in).The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

Do you have any plans for the Halloween? We prepared a list below and its going to be EXCITING……..

2.Paint and carve pumpkins and have an awesome Jack-O-Lantern

-Let us start with choosing a right pumpkin to curve. Choose one that is fresh , with no bruises, sturdy stem and has a flat bottom so it won’t roll. Then, you will need a boning knife to cut out the lid. Thirdly, scoop out all the pulp like an ice cream. Now time to carve, make up and down slices  as it looks best, we can also buy a pumpkin-carving kit with a 4-in-1 tool, a scraper tool, a saw, a drill, a pounce wheel, and 14 patterns ($4.99; amazon.com).
